This course is specifically designed for women and covers some of the issues and concerns that specifically relate to women.


Esparta self-defence and personal safety training is a combination of 2 vital disciplines, we call 'Soft' and 'Hard' skills.

 

The non-physical mind-set development of personal situation awareness, safety and personal security are the 'Soft skills'. The 'Hard skills' are physical hands on defence and attack techniques  we hope we never have to use, but are ready to if needed.


The techniques taught in Esparta self-defence are appropriate for women and girls of all abilities. No previous training is necessary as these methods were especially selected for use by women.

The Soft skill


The starting point of  ESPATA self-defence and personal safety, is awareness, which enables avoidance, evasion, de-escalation or escape. Understanding the baseline of your environment and developing a good level of personal safety and situation awareness is essential.


You will quickly learn how to recognise the potential threats, danger signs and body language of dangerous or threatening people. These drills are the foundation of the ‘soft skills’ and should become a new 'Mindset' in your day to day routine.

The Hard skill


A hands on physical session, where you will learn how to defend and protect yourself from a larger aggressor in  a range of scenarios  including, confined spaces, sitting and ground attacks. The use of improvised weapons, defensive covers, offensive striking to primary target areas and exit strategies is also taught.


ESPARTA self-defence 'Hard skills is  aggressive  and uncompromising hand to hand combat, self-defence system first taught to Special Forces, Commandos and Paratroopers in WWII.


They are designed to give you the best protection and chance of escape.

The Self Defence And Personal Safety For Women course is 4 hours long and hours long comprised of 4 x 1 hour modules, which can be can be completed individually or in one session.                                                                        .

Our training can be conducted as a 1 to 1 private session or as a group workshop.
